Elzie Hayes, Jr. was recently awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for his 20 years of service as an Athletic Official for the Georgia High School Association.
The award was presented at the GHSA South Georgia Basketball Association meeting in Waycross on October 16.

Hayes was given this award for his contribution to high school athletics in Georgia, for mastery of the rules of the game and for impartial application of these rules in the athletic contests officiated.
