Honor Mae Hutto, 96, died Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Pavilion. Ms. Hutto was born in Swansea, S.C. to the late James B. Day and the late Beulah Day and had resided in Baxley for the past nine years. She was retired and had been employed as a waitress before her retirement. Ms. Hutto was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie and husband, Robert Lane; two sons, Fredick D. and wife, Letha Hutto of Chipley, FL and Joe M. Hutto of Florida; thirteen grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 in the chapel of David E. Miles Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were John O’Rourke, Daniel Darnall, Dewain Darnall, Robert May, Clay Morse and Robert Morse.
Musical selections were rendered by C.D. selections.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
