The annual Appling County Relay for Life event was held at the Appling County High School track, located next to Jimmy Swain Stadium on Friday, May 6.
The event kicked off at 6:00 p.m. with a Survivor Lap to celebrate those who have victory over cancer and was followed with a Caregiver Lap for friends and family of those with cancer that have helped with the fight against cancer. Throughout the night, live entertainment, food and fellowship was enjoyed while each team walked until the event closed.
Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society and each year helps to raise over $400 million in donations.
