David Andrew Carter
David Andrew “Buddy” Carter, 64, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Buddy was born March 30, 1947 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Ellis B. Carter and the late Thelma Carter. He attended First United Methodist Church in Baxley. Mr. Carter served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1971. He had lived in Baxley since 2006.
Survivors include one son, Michael Carter of Brunswick; one sister, Wanda Mabry of Baxley; one uncle, Lindsey Beaver of Brunswick; nephew, Duane Mabry and other nieces and nephews also service.
Memorial services were held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Thad Harvey and Alan Miller officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Brunswick.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
