A great sound of victory came from the stands at Eagle Field as the Eagles won their Homecoming game against John Hancock on Friday, September 18. The Eagles made their first touchdown at the 4:42 mark by Chance Carter. Dock Allen ran an impressive touchdown in eight seconds from the 14-yard line for the Eagles second touchdown with less than three minutes left of the first quarter. Allen also scored the third touchdown for the Eagles with Lucas Waters making a two-point conversion, ending the first quarter with a score of 22-6.
During the second quarter, Dock Allen ran another touchdown with a two-point conversion making the score 30-6. Cole Livingston made a successful touchdown at the 8:36 mark with Chance Carter making a two-point conversion raising the score 38-6.
During the halftime break, the Homecoming Court for Appling Christian Academy made their way onto the field. The Homecoming Court was comprised of Maci McCall, Hope Smith, Kimberly Girtman, Alyssa Livingston and Lauren Beasley. Levvi Hiers, the 2014 ACA Homecoming Queen, crowned Kimberly Girtman as the 2015 ACA Homecoming Queen.
As the second half of the game was played, Allen scored another touchdown with Livingston adding a two-point conversion. The Eagles were still in command of the scoreboard at the end of the third quarter with a score of 46-6. At the 11:41 mark of the fourth quarter, Livingston and Bryant Phillips carried the ball for another Eagles touchdown, raising the score 52-6. The Rebels for John Hancock managed to make a touchdown, but the Eagles fought back with the final touchdown carried by Livingston ending the game with a score of 58-12.
