Sheriff Benny DeLoach would like to report the following activity of the Appling County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 11, answered a call to Forest Avenue in reference to entering residence without permission. The complainant stated his ex-wife continues entering the residence and taking things that don’t belong to her. Investigation continues.
June 11, answered a call to Surrency in reference to an assault. The complainant stated he and the offender got into an argument and the offender took a box cutter and cut him above the eye.
June 12, a routine traffic stop on Tippins Street resulted in the arrest of Josue Garcia, age 22, of Baxley, and Pamela Parlor, age 36, of Hazlehurst. Garcia was charged with no license and Parlor was charged with possession of cocaine and pill not in original container.
June 12, answered a call to Highway 144 in reference to child molestation. The complainant stated her children had been molested. The case was turned over to DFACS and investigator. The case is under investigation.
June 12, answered a call to Red Oak Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated person(s) unknown stole two guns from her residence. Investigation continues.
June 12, answered a call to West Pecan Street in reference to a domestic dispute. The complainant stated that the known offender had hit her in the stomach. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 13, a routine traffic stop on Highway 341 resulted in the arrest of Jerry Lee Crosby, age 61, of Baxley. Crosby was charged with D.U.I.
June 13, answered a call to Highway 341 in reference to damage to vehicle incident. The complainant stated the tire blew out and it caused damage to the truck.
June 13, answered a call to Quincy Lane in reference to a domestic dispute. The complainant stated she and her husband got into a verbal argument and he became very irate. Mitchell Craig Carter, age 34, of Baxley, was arrested and charged with cruelty to children and simple assault.
June 13, answered a call to Jake Moody Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated she let the known offender borrow her camper. When she returned the camper was gone. Investigation continues.
June 13, answered a call to West Pecan Street in reference to a theft. The complainant stated known offender stole his AT&T router and a cordless phone. Investigation continues.
June 12, answered a call to Hatch Parkway in reference to gunshots. A complainant stated he was closing up when he heard the gunshots. Investigation continues.
June 13, answered a call to Orvin Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated that person(s) unknown stole a trailer from his residence. Investigation continues.
June 14, answered a call to Wayne Jones Road in reference to burglary. A complainant stated person(s) unknown entered her residence and stole several jewelry items. Investigation continues.
June 14, answered a call to Red Oak Road in reference to a domestic dispute. The complainant stated that she and the offender got into an argument and the offender pulled her out of the car window. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 14, answered a call to Bowen Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated person(s) unknown stole a utility trailer, syrup boiler, plow, wash pot, and several more items from her property. Investigation continues.
June 14, answered a call to Nail Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated known offender had dug trenches across the road. The county road crew filled in the trenches.
June 15, answered a call to Ten Mile Road in reference to threats. A complainant stated known offender came to his residence wanting to fight and threatened to kill the complainant. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 15, answered a call to Hatch Parkway North in reference to a theft. Complainant stated person(s) unknown stole a drill and a weed eater from his residence. Investigation continues.
June 16, answered a call to Plant Hatch in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated person(s) unknown keyed her vehicle. Investigation continues.
June 18, answered a call on Deen’s Landing Road in reference to a Theft. Taken was one item of jewelry. Investigation continues.
June 18, answered a call on Hoppy Trail in reference to simple battery. The altercation was between a boyfriend and a girlfriend.
