Lake Mayers closed due to low water level

On Friday the Appling County Commissioners issued the following advisory.

“Due to the current water level at Lake Mayers, the boat ramp has been closed effective immediately. This closure will remain in effect until further notice. However, public access for the beach area will remain open for swimming.”
