Elmira H. Miles, 84, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Pavilion. Ms. Miles was born Sept. 21, 1926 in Alma to the late James Frank Heyman and the late Nanette Waters Heyman and had lived in Baxley most of her life. She was the owner and operator of AAA Propane Gas, Inc. at 18 Anthony Street, Baxley. Elmira was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. E. Miles.
Survivors include one sister, Christine Harris of Brunswick; a special aunt, Jeanette Courson of Waycross; special friends and care givers, Curtis and Linda Crosby of Baxley and Noreen Leggett of Baxley; and adopted daughter, Pamela LeBlanch of Virginia.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 in the chapel of David E. Miles Funeral Home with the Revs. Ron Ross and Daniel Gilliam officiating. Interment followed in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Stacy Crosby, Al Causey, Charles Davis, Aubrey Lynch, Wayne Lott and Rocky Courson.
Musical selections were rendered by Floyd Hunter and David Williams.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
