The Appling County Pirates (3-4 overall) opened their home schedule on December 9 against Pierce County and were able to get a 58-50 win to improve to 2-0 in sub-region 1A-AAA.
The Pirates next hosted Beach High of Savannah on December 13 and came up just short losing 67-68.
The Pirates final game of the week was also at home against Bacon County with the Pirates falling 54-66.
The Pirates have two games scheduled this week beginning with a region contest at Toombs County on Tuesday, December 16 and at Jeff Davis on Thursday, December 18. The Pirate games will begin after the completion of the Lady Pirate contests that are scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. on December 16 and 5:30 p.m. on December 18.
