Jaqueta Gruber Maddox
Jaqueta Gruber Maddox, 66, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Appling Healthcare System. Mrs. Maddox was a native of Appling County, born Feb. 1, 1944 to the late James Randall and Mavis Pearce Gruber. She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Gruber and brother, Willard Gruber.
Survivors include two sisters, Juanita Parkerson of Plant City, FL and Charlene Carter of Baxley; five brothers, Clyde Gruber of Alma, Charles Gruber of Hazlehurst and Roderick Gruber, Jerry Gruber and David Gruber, all of Baxley; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Grave side services were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at Appling Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Brad Park and Tommy Daniels officiating.
Musical selections were rendered by the Rev. Carl Rowell.
Remembrances may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
