NAACP to hold branch elections
The Appling County Branch NAACP is holding branch elections on Thursday, June 2 at 6:00 p.m. The election will take place at the muti-purpose building, 131 Junior High Drive in Baxley. The contact person is Larry Lockey, GA State Conference NAACP District Coordinator 15 and 18 at (912) 816-8581.
The Branch Officer’s Installation Ceremony will take place immediately following the election at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The branch election is coming under the Georgia State Conference Office Supervision and the National NAACP Office. Any person whose membership is current 30 days prior to the date of the official election can run for office in the branch election. A form of identification is required (NAACP Membership Card #5161).
