On May 12, Brooke Nail signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Columbus State University Lady Cougars. Coach Brad Huskisson has recruited Brooke to play third base and do some pitching for the Lady Cougars, a team that ended the 2011 season with a 37-16 record and finishing as the number three seed. Columbus State University is in the Peach Belt Conference of NCAA D II.
Brooke received pitcher of the year her senior year and helped lead the Lady Pirates to the sweet 16, with innings pitched being 161, and a .83 ERA. Brooke was selected as an All-State all-star for the south.
Brooke plays travel ball with Georgia Fury, the 2010 Class A World series Champions. Her parents are Chuck and Krisan Nail, and grandparents are Janice and Barry Branch and Charles and Connie Nail. Brooke intends to major in nursing.
