Benny R. Douglas of Alma and Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Donna) Morris of Baxley announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay JoAnn Douglas, to Justin Wade Orvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mickey (Barbara) Orvin of Baxley.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Anderson of Alma, the late JoAnn Anderson of Alma, Carolyn Morris of Baxley, and the late Chaudowin Morris of Baxley. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mildred Douglas of Jacksonville, and the late Ralph Douglas and Essie Douglas, both of Alma.
The bride-elect is a 2005 Honor graduate of Appling County Comprehensive High School.
She attended Waycross College where she received an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology in 2008.
This year, she graduated from Middle Georgia College with an Associate of Science Degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
The groom elect is a 1998 graduate of Appling County Comprehensive High School. He is currently employed with ProAg Crop Insurance, as an adjuster.
Justin is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Sue Murphy and the late Rozel Murphy, both of Baxley. He is the paternal grandson of the late W.H. (Son) and Carrie Orvin of Baxley.
The couple will be united in marriage on Saturday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Baxley with a reception immediately following in the family life center.
