Thelma B. H. Isom
Funeral services were held for Thelma B. H. Isom, who died Saturday, January 8, 2011. The services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at St. James A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Kevin Moore, officiating. Eulogy was given by the Rev. Douglas Stinson. Interment and dove ceremony (Bettye, Darrell and Gedell) followed in Baxley Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Vernon Isom, Wallace Isom, Walter Isom, Alfred James, Jr., Willie Lee Russell and Horace Sellers.
Honorary pallbearers were trustees, stewards and stewardesses of St. James A.M.E. Church and Appling County Health Department Home Care Services.
Musical selections were rendered by the choir, a solo by Bobby Joe Crayton, a duet by Kim and Patsy Wilkerson and a solo by Lillian Isom Roberts. A praise dance was performed by Amanda Daniels.
Arrangements were under the direction of Baxley Funeral Home.
