Sidney M. Frost, 94, of Baxley, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Frost was born September 4, 1919 in Emanuel County to the late John Fleming and Sipper Sutton Moring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Frost. Mrs. Frost was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a social worker with Appling County Department of Family and Children Services.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Darwin Crummey of Baxley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Susan Frost of Gainesville and David and Deborah Frost of Alpharetta; five grandchildren, Susannah Yost, Charles Frost, April Scruggs, Whit Frost, and Sloan Frost; four great grandchildren, Drew Scruggs, Bryson Scruggs, Adeline Yost, and Claiborne Yost.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 7, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. The body lay in state one hour prior to the funeral service. The Rev. Thad Harvey and the Rev. Rick Brown officiated. Entombment followed in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jeff Yost, Andrew Scruggs, Whit Frost, Sloan Frost, Charles Frost and Drew Scruggs.
Visitation was Sunday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Musical selections were rendered by Brandi Harvey.
