Maegan Ryles has attended Appling Christian Academy for five years. She was a member of the ACA chapter of the Georgia Association of Christian Schools Honor Society for four years and served as vice-president in her senior year. She was a member of the Eagle cheer squad, the basketball and the softball programs. Maegan has received the following academic and character awards: “A” Honor Roll all four years of high school while maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. Most recently, Maegan won the Highest Academic Average Awards in English and World History, and had a special recognition in Pre Calculus. In addition, She received the Senior Class Highest Academic Average Award. She has been recognized for her cheerleading ability with awards for “Best All Around Cheerleader,” The Base Award and The Outstanding Cheerleader Award.
Maegan will receive the HOPE Scholarship. Just recently, she was awarded a scholarship from the Georgia Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association Foundation. After high school graduation, Maegan plans to continue to follow God’s will for her life as she attends Georgia Southern University to pursue a degree in therapeutic recreation with a minor in creative writing. She is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst where she sings with the “River of Praise” Youth Choir. In addition, Maegan serves in the church as an Awana leader.
She is the daughter of Richard and Melissa Ryles.
