Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Wicker are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Leah Wicker of Macon, to John Kelly Dunwody Jackson, son of Dr. and Mrs. Oscar Dunwody Jackson, Jr. of Thomasville.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kennon Tatum of Reidsville, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wicker of Surrency.
Caroline was a 2007 honor graduate of First Presbyterian Day School in Macon.
She will receive her Bachelor of Arts in English and Minor in History from the University of Georgia in May 2011.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Nora Kelly and the late John Farley (Bo) Kelly of Blackshear, and the paternal grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Oscar Jackson, Sr. and the late Joyce Jackson of Bainbridge.
Kelly was a 2007 honor graduate of Brookwood School in Thomasville.
He will receive his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Georgia in May 2011.
The wedding is planned for July 2 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens.
The couple will reside in Starkville, Mississippi where they will begin their ministry with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Mississippi State University.
