Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Erris Laurette Slaughter, 51, who passed away Thursday, January 2, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Appling County and a Pentecostal by faith. She was a former para-professional at Altamaha Elementary and a customer service representative with GSI Commerce in Brunswick.
Survivors include her two children, Chrissy Slaughter of Baxley and Ricky Slaughter of Mt. Clemons, MI; a mother and stepfather; Mary and John Blanton of Baxley; one sister, Francine and Henry Youngblood of Surrency; a niece, Rebecca Swanger and fiancé of Skylar Miles; two great nieces, Tristain and Trinity; several stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Visitation was held Sunday, January 5 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
