Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rice of Ray City, and Matt Brown, originally of Tifton, announce the marriage of their daughter, Kelly Michelle Youngblood, to Shaun Ambers Hunter of Baxley. Shaun is the son of Herb and Teresa Hunter also of Baxley.
The private ceremony was held at Casa de Solana Bed and Breakfast in the historical district of St. Augustine, FL, on December 31, 2013, at 2:00 in the afternoon.
The bride is employed by Atlas Manufacturing, Inc. in Alapaha, where she is the advertising director. She is also self-employed as an independent advertising agent.
The groom is employed by Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Power Plant (So. Nuclear Company) as an armed security officer, and he is also a Staff Sergeant in the US Air National Guard where his main duties are manager of security and COMSEC manager of the 224 Joint Communication Support Squadron.
Together, Shaun and Kelly have five children: Tyler Youngblood (15), Blake Hunter (12), Meagan Youngblood (11), Kate Hunter (two), and Ellie Hunter (two).
Shaun is the grandson of the late Ambers and Louise Jarrell (maternal), Herbert Hunter, and the late Helen Hunter (paternal). Shaun has two brothers, Chris and Derick Hunter.
Kelly is the granddaughter of the late W.C. and Clara Summerall, Reva Rice, and (late) Minnie Rice. Kelly has one sister, Allison Brown-Thompson (Justin), and two brothers, Austin Brown and Jared Rice.
The couple now resides in Baxley with their son, Blake.
