“Now there’s something you don’t see everyday”
Horseback in Baxley? Is there a parade? No. Four locals decided they would go for ride last week.
Only their ride started in Bonaire (just outside of Macon) on Monday and ended back in Baxley on Friday. Mitchell Johnson, Aaron Hutchinson, Dave Hutchinson and Stan White (shown right) decided they would travel over 100 miles on horseback last week stopping daily along the route from Bonaire to Baxley and camping under the stars. This was White’s first over 100-mile trip and he reported that his backside was pretty sore from the journey, but added that it was a good trip and the men had fun. The Hutchinson duo stated that they have made several journeys since November that were over 100 miles each trip.
The group also added that people along the route would ask why they were riding. They would respond by saying, “We’re just riding for the fun of it.”

Saw these gentlemen on the corner at the Courthouse and thought....you know you live in a small town when you see 4 men riding horses in the middle of town! ;) It was nice to see and those are some beautiful horses!!!

This is a great adventure I'm sure and probably pretty peaceful. If gas prices keep rising, you may just see more of this!
