Caroldean Crosby, 80, of Baxley passed away Sunday, December 22, at her residence after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Ben Williams and Ollie Mae Rowell Williams and was preceded in death by her husband John Crosby, a son, Ricky Crosby and brother, Bartow Crosby. She was a member of Satilla Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Crosby (Joyce), Tarry Crosby, Tim Crosby (Sandra) and Keith Crosby (Tina) all of Baxley; three brothers, George Williams and Roosevelt Willams of Brunswick, and David Williams of Baxley; two sisters, Margaret Carter and Rosene Carter of Baxley; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Conger officiating. Interment followed in Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
Active pallbearers were Darrell Everett, Cliff Crosby, Matt Hickox, Stanley and Randy Griffin and Josh Yawn. All others in attendance were considered honorary escorts.
