Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral services of Elmer “Mo” Youngblood, 59, who passed away Friday, December 6, 2013. He was a native of Emanuel County living most of his life in Appling County; a United States Navy Veteran, millwright and a member of the Gold Star Family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Travis Youngblood; brother, Randall Youngblood and his parents, Hollis and Margie Stroud Youngblood.
Surviving is one son, E.J. Youngblood of Smithfield, VA; daughter-in-law, Laura Youngblood of Sebastian, FL; grandchildren, Hunter, Emma and Christian Youngblood; three sisters, Dorothy and husband, Carroll Hart, of Surrency, Pearlie Baxley of Baxley and Josephine Youngblood of Surrrency; two brothers, Ricky Youngblood of TN and Sammy Youngblood of Baxley; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation was Tuesday, December 10, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m. from the Miles–Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dennis Bryant officiating. Interment followed in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military honors.
Active pallbearers were Edsel Mayers, Phillip Nail, Nick Dykstra, Joe Dykstra, Kevin Green, and Charlie Williams.
