Summer track and field program offered
J.L.S. Young Achievers-Impala T. C. of South GA will be providing runners and fielders the opportunity to participate in summer track and field. Parents if your athlete is between 8-19, then they are eligible to participate in this program. Our club/participants will be competing in several AAU and USATF sponsored meets over the next couple of months. Example meet locales are expected to be in Atlanta, Augusta, Orlando, Tampa and ultimately New Orleans, the site of this year’s Junior Olympics.
We will be accepting athletes from all surrounding counties. We are especially looking for girls, born in 1997-1998, to run on a 4x100 relay. This is a great way and opportunity to build or add to your college resume. Track and field also prepares you for other sports that you may be involved in.

If anyone would like to make a contribution/donation, it would be greatly appreciated. To keep cost down, we will be having various fund raising projects…so respond as soon as possible. We are also looking for anyone wanting to volunteer their services as a volunteer coach.
Solomon also reminds everyone that the Appling County Recreation Authority’s next meeting will be held on May 9 and is open to the public.
