Dear Editor,
In this negative world I would like to share something very positive. We always say “I would give my life for you if you needed me too. I have a special person in my family that has proved this to be true. My niece, Bobbie Jo Lynn was asked to give her sister, Melanie Lightsey a kidney. After praying over this request, our very special angel knew that this was God’s will because “everything” matched for the transplant. Even though she was scared she had faith that this was God’s will, and it was that faith that helped her through this procedure.
No greater love hath any man
There is no greater love that anyone can have for another person than to donate an organ to them. We want to make sure that we give God the glory for this healing. He guided the doctors hands to perform the surgery and for everything to “take”.
Melanie has a new beginning in front of her. She has a long recovery road ahead of her, but she is doing very well.
My donor angel is doing very well also. We are a blessed family.
For everyone that has prayed, bought a Boston butt, bought stuff at my yard sale or just prayed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
There is still travel expense. Melanie has to go to Augusta one time a week. She had to be admitted back in the hospital one time to adjust her medicine. She has medicine that is not covered by Medicare.
We are selling raffle tickets for two homemade quilts to be given away on Mother’s Day. They are $2.00 a ticket. If you would like to buy a ticket, please contact Phyllis Branch at 367-2973 or Pat Music at 240-2205.
