Local Mike Serrano will be riding his bicycle for nearly 300 miles during ‘Mike’s Inspirational Decade Memorial Ride for Healthier Life’ starting on December 9 in Baxley and ending December 14 in Kissimmee, FL.
Serrano will also be riding in memory of his aunt who passed away after a battle with breast cancer and will be wearing a pink ribbon in support of breast cancer awareness. Serrano will also wear a button in honor of Trapper Leggett.
Serrano has been training since being cleared by doctors after having hip replacement surgery in May. He asks the community for their continued support through prayer and blowing the horn if you see him riding while he trains. He would also like to thank everyone for sharing the highway and asks for everyone to spread the word.
A special feature story about the ride will appear in the 2014 Winter issue of Mature Living in the Southeast.
