Millard Jon Lott, 73, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Lott was born Aug. 26, 1937 in Irwin County and had lived in Jacksonville, FL until moving to Alma. He was self-employed as a farm equipment salesman with Lott Tractor Company and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Millard was the son of the late George W. and Margie Bell Gurley Lott. He was preceded in death by his sister, Clyde Craven and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Olen and Novana Lamb.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wilda Lott of Alma; two sons, Donald Lott and wife, Gail of Jesup and Tom Lott and wife, Carla of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: De Laura Lott of Waycross, Kimberly and Scotty Hyers of Jesup, Annie Lott of Jesup and Scott and Tanya Graham of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Gethal Lott of Brunswick; one brother, Waldo Lott of Baxley; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 29 in the chapel of David E. Miles Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Bryant, the Rev. Billy Davis and Danny Howell officiating. Interment followed in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Alma.
Pallbearers were Kim W. Lott, Aaron Carter, Sharlin Craven, Scotty Hyers, Earl Johnson and William Eason.
Musical selections were rendered by Kasey O’Steen.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
