Catherine Colvin Shaw, age 64, of Decatur, Alabama, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Shaw was born April 30, 1949 in Jesup, and was the daughter of the late Howard and Ernestine Colvin. She was a retired Autocadd Drafter at the Nuclear Power Plant for the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Survivors include her spouse, Ray Shaw of Decatur, Alabama; one son – Derek Jones of Baxley; two sisters – Patricia (Harold) Brown of Athens, and Carolyn (Walter) Dart of Jesup. She is also survived by one granddaughter – Kasee Jones and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 21 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James “Jinker” Horton officiating.
Active pallbearers included Kyle McCrary, Greg Dart, Dustin Bass, Jimmy Crapps, Walt Tillman, and Benji Higgins.
Jimmy Crapps rendered musical selections.
Interment was at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Sunday, October 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
