Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the memorial services of Frankie E. Reynolds, age 77, who passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her residence under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was a native of Cleveland, Mississippi living in Marietta for 51 years. Mrs. Reynolds retired from the Cobb County Board of Education, where she taught Government and Economics at Osborne High School. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Mississippi, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Delta State University and her Masters of Education Degree from West Georgia College. Mrs. Reynolds was an avid Bridge player being an active member of her Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by her son, James A. Reynolds Jr. and her parents, John Norris Ellis and Babe Ellis Sigmond.
Surviving is her husband of 61 years, James A. Reynolds Sr. of Baxley; three grandchildren, Josh Reynolds and Catherine Gill, John and wife, Deanna Reynolds, and Janna Reynolds all of Baxley; three great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Reynolds - List of Rutherfordton, NC; two sisters, Nan W. Ellis and Shirley Stoner of Kennesaw.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Janna Reynolds on 604 Sweetgum Lane in Baxley with the Reverend Jerry Tomberlin officiating.
