William Edgar Sharpe, 56, of Mershon, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, following a sudden illness.
Born in Alma on March 29, 1957, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. He had worked for Callahan Dairy for 20 years, attended Ephesus Church of God and loved the outdoors.
Sharpe was a son of the late William Henry Sharpe. He was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Keniajah Jackson; and three brothers, David Earl Sharpe, Carroll Sharpe and Jerome Sharpe.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Clark (Keon Cooper) of Blackshear and Nicole Sharpe (Berri Van) of Patterson; two sons, Brandon Knowles (Danielle Allison) of Blackshear and William “Willie” Sharpe, Jr. of Blackshear; his mother, Ophelia Jones Sharpe of Mershon; two sisters, Shirley Ann (Rigo) Rodiquez of Ocala, FL and Sheila (Rodney) Whitaker of Blackshear; a brother, Reppard Sharpe of Mershon; ten grandchildren, Courtney Starns, Javiance Freeman, Jakayla Sharpe, Kamron Cooper, Whitney Patchen, Deiajah Jackson, Michael Knowles, Ashley Toutai, Trevor Warren Lee Wooten and Brandon Eugene Knowles, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 o’clock, Wednesday morning, September 18 at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Memorialization was by cremation.
Visitation was held Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
