Ashley Nicole Pearson and Christopher Reid Collins were united in marriage on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at The Charles Morris Center in Savannah with the Reverend Scott Montgomery officiating. Ashley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Pearson of Baxley. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Harrison of Thomson and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Pearson of Pine Mountain.
Ashley graduated from Appling County High School and Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Child and Family Development. She is now employed at Edwin I. Hatch in Baxley.
Reid is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joey Collins of Baxley. His paternal grandparents are Helen Kennedy of Baxley, the late Robert Kennedy and the late Charlie Collins. His maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Norris of Baxley. Reid graduated from Appling County High School. He is now employed at Collins and Sons Tire Service, Inc. in Baxley.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, April Pearson Towler of Athens as her Matron of Honor and Jenny Lou Tomberlin of Pooler as her bridesmaid.
The groom chose his brother, Joseph Terrell Collins II of Baxley, to serve as his best man and Kevin Lee Simmons of Baxley as his groomsman.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held inside The Charles Morris Center. After a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Baxley.
