Trapper Jaxon Leggett, age 1, passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 in the Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. Trapper Jaxon was born July 17, 2012 in Vidalia. He was a member of Friendship Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include his mother, Jada Lynn Head of Baxley; father, Jason Ruben Leggett of Baxley; one sister, Maelee Leggett of Baxley; three brothers, Bailey Nail, Change Leggett and Caide Leggett, all of Baxley, maternal grandparents, Donnie and Cindy Head of Baxley; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Peggy Leggett of Baxley and Wanda and David Sellers of Hazlehurst; maternal great-grandmother, Nell Head of Baxley; and his paternal great-grandmother, Lalen Parlor of Hazlehurst also survives.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Friendship Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Barry Teutsch officiating. Interment followed in Baxley Graveyard.
Active pallbearers were Stacy Leggett, Chance Leggett, Jason Head, Jeremy Head, Kyler Hutchinson and Dylan Hutchinson.
Musical selections were rendered by Bailey Nail, Trent Head, Luke Hutchinson, Cole Higgins, Thomas Higgins, Lexsy Griffin, Hunter Griffin and Vickie Dyal.
