The City of Baxley will hold a Called Meeting on July 9th, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 282 E. Parker Street, Baxley, Georgia. The primary purpose of the Called Meeting is a Public Hearing as well as any other business that may come before the Mayor and Council. The Public Hearing will offer opportunities for comments on an application for annexation on the proposed zoning Residential(R-12), for property owned by Randall B. and Sheila J. Brooks located at 231 Auburn Street. Legal description as follows:
All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the Second Land District of Appling County, Georgia, a portion of original Land Lot No. 284, consisting of Subdivision Lot No. 134, Block 9, of what is known as Weatherly Park, a subdivision, a plat of which is of record in Office, Clerk of Superior Court, said County, Plat Book No. 4, page 239. Said tract of land is located on the south side of and adjoins Auburn Street for a distance of 100 feet and runs back southward in a strip of equal width for a distance of 140 feet, being bound: North by Auburn Street; East by Subdivision Lot No. 146; South by Subdivision Lots Nos. 133 and 135, and West by Subdivision Lot No. 132. Said tract of land is more particularly described in accordance with the courses, metes and bounds of a certain survey and plat thereof by Denean W. Dixon, Surveyor, dated April 21, 1973, recorded in Plat Book No. 7, page 150, or records in office, Clerk of Superior Court, said county.
