On January 25 and 26, approximately 30 members from the Appling County Young Farmers traveled to Athens to attend the 43rd Annual Georgia Young Farmers State Convention. Members participated in the trade show where over 40 vendors presented information on all aspects of farming operations and general interest.

Appling Young Farmers attend State Convention
Appling County was very well represented in awards…
After being selected winners for the South Region of the GYFA, Randy and Angie Branch and family were chosen as finalists for the Georgia Outstanding Farm Family.
The Branch family made Appling County Young Farmer history by being chosen as the state winners for this outstanding award.
Steve Smith also made ACYF history by being named an honorary member to the Georgia Young Farmers Association.
This is a very prestigious award and one that Appling County is very proud of Steve for achieving.
Josh Gardner was elected to the Georgia Young Farmers state officer board for the 2013 year.
Josh will serve as South Region Senior Director.
