On Feb. 1, deputies answered a call to Ernest Kesler Road in reference to harassment. A complainant stated her ex-boyfriend continues to try to contact her after receiving a no contact order on him.
Feb. 13, a routine traffic stop on Highway 341 resulted in the arrest of Tramayne T. Walker, 33, of Baxley. Walker was charged with VGCSA/crack cocaine, and open container in vehicle.
Feb. 13, the Appling County Sheriff’s Office assisted Telfair County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending three individuals from Appling County involved in a burglary from their county. Jerry Michael Morris, 28, of Surrency, John Elliot Todd, 27, of Baxley, and Amanda Michelle Geary, 26, of Baxley, were arrested and charged with burglary.
Feb. 4, answered a call to Janis Street in reference to a theft. A complainant stated a subject took his tools and pawned them. The subject stated the tools that he pawned were his. Investigation continues.
Feb. 4, a complainant came to the sheriff’s office to report a theft that occurred on Highway 15 South. The complainant stated he had found several items had been stolen from his place of business, valued at approximately $650.00. Investigation continues.
Feb. 5, answered a call to Son Carter Road in reference to theft by deception. The complainant stated subjects had come to her residence selling chicken plates to raise money for her family. The complainant bought plates and they were never delivered. Investigation revealed also other people in the community and been scammed. Keisha Lavanchiekay Madray, 37, and Christopher Lee Barwick, both arrested and charged with theft by deception.
Feb. 5, answered a call to Azalea Road in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated when returning to her residence she found glass door to residence broken. Inside found missing were TV’s, X-Box, computers, video camera, pistol, jewelry and several other items. Investigation continues.
Feb. 5, answered a call to Addie Lane in reference to a domestic dispute. A husband and a wife had an altercation. The husband left the residence before officers arrived.
Feb. 6, answered a call to Chad Claxton Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated family members came to his residence took his refrigerator, and washer/dryer and sold it for scrap metal. Investigation continues.
Feb. 6, answered a call to Baker Lane in reference to a domestic, which led to the arrest of Rhonda Jo Crosby, 45, of Baxley. Crosby was charged with family violence/simple battery.
Feb. 7, answered a call to Hart Street/Surrency in reference to harassment. A complainant stated her ex-husband continues to make threats and trouble with her.
Feb. 7, officers went to the residence of Lilly Moody Road to serve a warrant on a subject, which resulted in the arrest of Salena Lynn Holton, 50, of Baxley. Holton was arrested and charged with false statements and obstructing police officer.
