Former Miss Vision to emcee Miss Vision Pageant on April 16
The Miss Vision Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, April 16 starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Appling County Elementary Complex. Young ladies from the surrounding area will be competing for the titles of Little Miss Vision, Jr. Miss Vision, Teen Miss Vision and Miss Vision. Reigning queens are Little Miss Tia Jones, Jr. Miss Alexus Boles, Teen Miss Brittany Moore and Miss Vision Odessa Nails. The evening’s entertainment will be rendered by Briana Hayes performing a solo vocal as well as a piano performance; Ryan Hayes and Odessa Nails will perform a solo. Alexus Boles will render a trumpet solo; Brittney Moore will present a poetic recital and Angel Jackson a piano performance.
The emcee for the evening will be Miss Angel Jackson. Angel is a former Miss Vision 2004, a professional actress, musician and law graduate. She was born and raised in Baxley and is the daughter of Cal MacClenny and Linda Jackson. Angel attained her BBA in Accounting from Georgia College and State University and also recently completed her Juris Doctorate of Law from Florida Coastal School of Law. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Sorority Incorporated. Angel started acting and playing the piano at the age of seven. She has also competed and won numerous pageants throughout her career. Her most recent title was Miss Florida Essence 2009. Angel is currently pursing her passions of teaching piano, acting, and being a musician full time. She is a certified Miss Georgia judge for the Miss America Pageant.
Angel is a professional actor represented by CTK Agency. Presently Angel has filmed on the sets of Vampire Diaries, Big Mommas, Footloose, Tyler Perry’s Meets the Browns, Marry Me, Single Ladies and more. In addition, she has filmed in short films, commercials and independent films.
Angel has trained at the Company Acting Studio and is currently being trained under Greg Alan Williams at the Breakthrough Actor’s Studio.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, shopping, playing tennis, horseback riding, attending the gun range, singing, performing on the piano/organ and competing in pageants.
