Becky Pearson Metts
Becky Pearson Metts, 67, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah. Mrs. Metts was born January 6, 1946 in Tifton to the late Dan Terry and the late Nona Taylor Pearson. She spent her childhood in Baxley and has resided in Jeff Davis County for a number of years. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Metts and son, Dan Metts.
Survivors include two Daughters, Lisa Jones and Kay Speziali, both of Hazlehurst; four sisters, Nancy Goff, Elizabeth Carter, Mildred Keene and Kathern Miller; one brother, Dub Terry; grandchildren, Tristan Carter, Mitch Jones, Wade Jones, Zaran Metts, Jenica Tanner, Haley Metts and William “Dooder” Speziali; and great-grandchildren, Aiyla Carter, Kirsten Jones, Zoey Jones, Mikelynne Jones and Dagan Metts.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Hazlehurst Church of God with the Rev. Bryan Brazzell officiating. Interment followed in Zoar Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Justin Carter, Paul Brewer, Wade Jones, Harry Williams, Charles Goff and Zaran Metts.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
