The Appling Christian baseball team was only able to get in one game this past week due to rain. The one game the Eagles played was against region opponent Byne Christian from Albany.
Bryce Livingston got the start on the mound and earned the win. Livingston went four innings allowing no hits. He walked four and struck out six. Rex Cox entered the game in relief allowing three hits, walking three and striking out five. The pitchers did a good job allowing just three runs, none of which were earned.
The Eagle offense continued to perform well, scoring twelve times on Tuesday. Leading the offense with two hits apiece were Andrew Phillips, Don Phillips, and Corey Reagin. Rex Cox, Caleb Ellington and Jamie Dover all had one hit. Senior Jamie Dover lead in RBI’s with three.
Appling Christian’s region record has improved to 5 and 0. The Eagles play this week away on Thursday, April 7 against Bible Baptist, a region opponent, and at St. Simons Island on Saturday, April 9 against non region opponent Frederica.
