Dec. 21, answered a call to Phillipi Church Road in reference to a theft. The complainant stated a subject had stolen several checks from her checkbook and attempted to cash several of the checks. Investigation continues.
Dec. 21, answered a call to Blackshear Highway in reference to a theft. A complainant stated several items had been taken from his old home place.
Dec. 21, a complainant came to the Appling County Sheriff’s Office to report a financial credit card fraud. The complainant stated unknown person(s) was using a credit card in his name without his knowledge. Investigation continues.
Dec. 21, answered a call to Vernon Williams Road in reference to harassment. A complainant stated a subject has made threats toward her on her phone.
Dec. 23, answered a call to Nails Ferry Road in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated someone had broken a window and entered Ferry Baptist Church. Nothing appeared to be missing at time of report. Cleared by arrest.
Dec. 23, answered a call to Lake Mayers Road in reference to a dog problem. A complainant stated her neighbor’s dog attacked her dog causing injury to her dog.
Dec. 24, answered a call to Lee Woods Road, Surrency, in reference to a domestic dispute. A boyfriend and a girlfriend had an altercation, which led to the arrest of Christopher S. Allen, 36, of Baxley. Allen was charged with simple battery family violence.
Dec. 25, answered a call to Seward Lane in reference to an unresponsive subject. The Appling EMS responded and the Appling Co. Sheriff’s Office talked with complainant and stated James Seward, 74, of Baxley, was found not responding. Coroner Grimes was notified and stated Seward appeared to have died of natural causes.
Dec. 25, answered a call to Yardley Avenue in reference to entering auto/theft. A complainant stated while her vehicle was parked at her parent’s residence someone entered her auto and stole her pocketbook containing her wallet, keys and several items. Investigation continues.
Dec. 26, answered a call to Patterson Road in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated his utility building was found to be pried open where unknown an subject(s) entered and took two air operated staple guns. Investigation continues.
Dec. 26, answered a call to Highway 121, Surrency, in reference to a burglary. The complainant stated he found where an unknown subject(s) had broken a window to residence and gained entry to residence. Nothing appeared to be missing at time of report. Cleared by arrest.
Dec. 27, answered a call to David Carter Road in reference to financial card fraud. A complainant stated while going over her statement she found purchases she did not make. Investigation continues.
Dec. 28, answered a call to Zoar Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated taken from his residence was a fish cooker and tools. Investigation continues.
Dec. 28, a burglary that occurred on Bill Morris Road, investigation led to the arrest of Crystal Charmain Patchen, 32, of Baxley, Patricia Christine Anderson, 34, of Baxley, and Nickolas Allen Stone, 28, of Bristol. All three subjects were charged with burglary.
