I guess the Mayans had it pegged wrong. The year of doom 2012 has come and gone. Guess what? We are still here.
This past year proved to be like many in the past; it was wonderful at times, and trying at times. But through and through, we here at The News-Banner, offer our sincere gratitude for the support we continue to receive from this community. Whether you’re an advertiser, subscriber or reader, you will never know how much your support means to us and how much we look forward to serving you in the coming year.
So what’s on the horizon for The News-Banner in 2013. For the past few years this publication has been striving to stay abreast of the latest in technology in all aspects of publishing. Expect to see further advancements on the digital-side of our business, as well as, a complete redesign on the print-side of the publication in 2013.
One area that I would like to see us excel in 2013 is in the interactive aspect of the newspaper. You will see us engage readers in 2013 connecting print, online and social media together even more in an effort to garner and receive input from you, our readers. We basically want to know what your interests are and how we can relay that information back to you.
Know that we will continue to keep our long-standing objective to this community. The Baxley News-Banner’s objective is to promote, “The continuous growth of Baxley and Appling County through better government and education, religious and moral awareness.”
Again, we thank you for your business in 2012, and hopefully if civilization does not end before, we look forward to serving you in 2013.
