Pirates win two, now 4-3 overall

The Appling County Pirates (4-3 overall, 2-0 Region 1-AAA) hosted the Pierce County Bears on December 4 winning their Region 1-AAA opener 43-34. Leading Scorers were Ronald Handsome nine points, Anthony Rayner eight points, Jordan Vann six points, Tobias Hagins six points and Heisman Johnson five points.

The Pirates second game of the week came against region foe New Hampstead of Savannah on December 7 with the Pirates winning 66-49. Leading scorers were Kevin Johnson 17 points, Ronald Handsome 16 points, Heisman Johnson eight points, Brandon Jones seven points and Jordan Vann six points.

The Pirates are scheduled to host region foe Brantley County on Tuesday, December 11 and travel to face region opponent Savannah High on December 14.
