The Appling Christian Academy Eagle (4-0 overall) basketball team started the season defeating Bible Baptist, non-varsity opponent, 67-5 on November 15. Leading scorers for the Eagles were Bryce Livingston 13 points, Dylan Colson 11 points, Luke White 10 points, Hunter Kicklighter nine points, Rex Cox eight points, Jordan Bland six points, Austin Carter six points and Wyatt Nail four points. Leading the team in assists was Cox with six with B. Livingston leading the team in rebounds with nine.
The Eagles next game came against Byne Christian with the Eagles winning 59-50 on November 20. Leading scorers were B. Livingston 29 points, Colson nine points, Cox nine points, Hunter Barber eight points, Timothy Sexton two points and White two points. Daniel Beasley led the team with four assists with B. Livingston leading with 14 rebounds.
The Eagles picked up their third win 56-30 over Heritage Christian Academy on November 27. Top scorers were Colson 12 points, Cox eight points, B. Livingston eight points, Zach Carter seven points, Jordan Bland six points, Beasley four points, A. Carter three points, Barber three points, Sexton two points and White two points. Leading in assists was Beasley with five and leading rebounder was B. Livingston with 10.
The Eagles next game came against Southside Christian on November 30 with the Eagles winning 74-20. Leading the scoring was Z. Carter 10 points, Cox nine points, Bland nine points, A. Carter eight points, Cole Livingston seven points, Barber seven points, B. Livingston six points, Allen six points, Beasley three points, Sexton three points, Colson two points and White two points. Beasley lead the team with three assists with C. Livingston leading with 13 rebounds.
The Eagles are scheduled to face Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday, December 4 at home.
The Eagles will travel Valdosta to face Open Bible Christian on Friday, December 7 and finish the week in Lyons against Toombs Christian Academy on Saturday, December 8.
