Halloween, what a grand time. We look around and can see all kinds of Christmas decorations.
What are we going to do on Thanksgiving? We only celebrate it one day: with all kinds of food and drinks. But are we going to give thanks to God by helping the less fortunate? Thanksgiving is a special time to help show love to someone else. We are a blessed people. Let’s show someone we care by sharing in some way on Thanksgiving Day.
Let’s don’t be judgmental! We don’t know what another person has going on in their minds or hearts. God is love. Why not show our love (our true love) by sharing with others.
Let someone say; when I was hungry they gave me food; I was thirsty they gave me drink; or I was a stranger they welcomed me to what they had to share.
This is my Thanksgiving prayer. Oh, God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry. When I have work help me to remember the jobless. When I have a warm home help me to remember the homeless. When I am without pain help me to remember those who suffer. God help me to be more compassionate make me concerned enough to help by word and deed. And to those who cry out, for what I take for granted. Let me show love in my daily walk.
To God Be the Glory!
