Judy Lynch
Judy Lynch, 62, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at her residence. Judy was born Nov. 9, 1950 in Bacon County to the late Rev. Dorris Black and the late Ella Myrtice Crosby Black. She was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church. Mrs. Lynch was a faithful wife and mother. Faithful, loving and strong are words to describe this humble woman. Judy never wanted attention on herself, but she was eager to be a rock of support for her family and friends. From a kind smile to a word of encouragement to a firm nudge back on to the right path, Judy Lynch embodied a servant’s spirit. Colossians 3:12 says, “As one who has been chosen of God, holy and beloved, you must put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Judy Lynch wore these traits with dignity and grace through each and every day. She will be forever missed by her family until we meet again.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Lynch of Baxley; two daughters, Pam Williams and Mandy Williams, both of Baxley; six sisters, Ellen Black, Elaine Edwards, Brenda Nail, Betty Taylor, Jean Orvin Surrency, all of Baxley and Evelyn Gill of Alma; three brothers, Eddie Black of Jacksonville, Fla., David Black of Baxley and Dewayne Black of Bartlesville, OK; special friend, Lyrissa Smoak of Baxley; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and 17 nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 from Red Oak Baptist Church with the Revs. Robbie Gill, Rick Brown, Darrell Quinn and Robert Black officiating. Interment followed in church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jarrett Williams, Willy Wright, Mitch Williams, Brody Williams, Rocky Courson and Clint Ibarra.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends and family attending the funeral services.
Musical selections were rendered by Elaine Edwards, Dewayne Black and Ellen Black.
