ELECTION RESULT
One election result that was not included in last week’s issue for the General Election held on Tuesday, November 6, was the race for Appling County Commissioner, District 2. There was a qualified write-in candidate in this race and it took some additional time to certify the write-in votes.
Incumbent Theodore Wilkerson (Democrat) soundly defeated write-in candidate Gary L. Solomon. Wilkerson received 948 votes and Solomon received 41 certified votes.
