The Appling County Food Bank, at 82 Barnes Street, will be having an open house on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be at the Community Center on Barnes Street, (behind FNB South) and is open to the public. Finger foods and information will be shared as recognition is given for the support of the community with ten years of service in Appling County.
There will be displays showing pictures and newspaper clippings over the last ten years. The Food Bank has been blessed and has many partners throughout the community. This partnership has included; churches, civic groups, the Postal Service, Scouts, businesses and many individuals. The Appling County Food Bank is partners with America’s Second Harvest and United Way. It is a time of sharing of how the Appling County Food Bank operates and what has been achieved over the last ten years.
The “Open House” will be held at 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and tours will be given of the facilities. Everyone is invited to attend.
