Sheriff Benny DeLoach would like to report the following activity of the Appling County Sheriff’s Office.
March 18, answered a call to JR Harper Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated that someone lost control of their vehicle and ran through the fence into his pasture.

Mar. 18, answered a call to Christian Springs Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated someone stole $870.00 out of his vehicle. Investigation continues.
Mar. 19, answered a call to Elizabeth Circle in reference to juveniles playing with a pellet gun. A complainant stated her son was shot in the leg.
Mar. 19, answered a call to Yellow Pine Road in reference to a domestic dispute. A complainant stated her and her husband had been into a verbal dispute. Randy Lavern Walker, age 51, of Baxley, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Mar. 19, answered a call to Wayne Jones Road in reference to harassing phone calls. A complainant stated known offender continues to call making threats.
Mar. 20, answered a call to Red Oak Road in reference to two juveniles found in Red Oak Church. The juvenile had slept on the couch in the foyer and ate some of the food prepared for a church dinner. The juveniles were returned home.
Mar. 20, answered a call to Cleland Lane in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated known offender came to his residence and took an air conditioner unit and two suits of clothes.
Mar. 20, answered a call to Lake Mayers Road in reference to trespassing. A complainant stated known offender walked into his residence without permission.
Mar. 20, answered a call to Bell Drive in reference to a theft. A complainant stated someone took her ten-speed bike from under her carport. The bike was later recovered.
Mar. 20, a routine traffic stop on Brobston Street resulted in the arrest of Robin Ryan Hopkins, age 31, of Baxley. Hopkins was charged with DUI, seatbelt violation and open container in vehicle.
Mar. 20, a routine traffic stop on Old Surrency Road resulted in the arrest of Darlene Reddish, age 45, of Odom. Reddish was charged with driving while license withdrawn, possession of marijuana, open container in vehicle, and driving without headlights.
Mar. 20, answered a call to Lake Mayers Road in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated unknown person(s) broke into the window and stole $33.85 in cash. Investigation continues.
Mar. 20, answered a call to Blarney Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated two male subjects came into her yard and spun doughnuts through her yard.
Mar. 21, answered a call to Zoar Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated that unknown person(s) stole her lawn mower. Investigation continues.
Mar. 21, answered a call to Graham in reference to a theft. A complainant stated known subject took her son’s phone. The phone is a straight talk LG Alltel Phone. Investigation continues.
Mar. 21, Answered a call to Faulk Road in reference to threats. A complainant stated that the known subject was making suicidal threats. The subject was transported to the Appling County ER.
Mar. 22, answered a call to Doris Street in reference to illegal dumping. A complainant stated known person had been dumping motor oil into the ditch. A deputy spoke with the offender and he stated he would clean it up.
Mar. 22, answered a call to Blackshear Highway in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated person(s) unknown broke into her residence and took 40-50 DVD’s. Investigation continues.
Mar. 22, answered a call to Picket Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated known offender was riding a bike and hit the mirror of his vehicle knocking it loose.
Mar. 22, answered a call to Dana Road in reference to a dispute. A complainant stated her and her husband got into a verbal dispute. The parties were both separated.
Mar. 22, answered a call to Wayne Jones Road in reference to a dispute. A complainant stated offender took a tire off of her vehicle. The complainant then took the offender’s dresser and put it in the front yard and the offender got irate. Patricia Anderson, age 33, of Baxley, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Mar. 22, answered a call to Hatch Parkway North in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated a tree fell on the side of her residence. The tree hit the power pole causing the line to fall on the residence. REA was contacted.
Mar. 23, answered a call to Howard Lynch Road in reference to financial transaction card fraud. A complainant stated that his ex-wife kept the credit cards after the divorce and has since stopped paying the payments.
Mar. 23, answered a call to James Stanfield Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated known offender borrowed her 1996 ISU and never brought it back. The complainant then found out the truck had been sold for scrap.
Mar. 23, answered a call to Hoppy Trail in reference to a missing person. A complainant stated that the child went to check the mail and never returned. After about ten minutes of searching the complainant called back and stated the child had been found.
Mar. 23, answered a call to Blackshear Highway in reference to affray. A complainant stated that the victim and offender got into a fight. The victim was then transported to the Appling County Emergency Room.
Mar. 23, answered a call to Nail Road in reference to damage to property. The complainant stated that someone tried to pry open the back door to her deceased mother’s residence, but was unable to gain entry.
Mar. 24, answered a call to JW Crosby Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated known offender stole her wedding rings and pawned them. Investigation continues.
Mar. 24, answered a call to David Carter Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated that all his belongings had been thrown out in the front yard. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate judge in reference to this incident.
Mar. 24, answered a call to Tommy Tyre Road in reference to a fire. A complainant stated his father’s estate had caught on fire and burnt down including several out buildings. The complainant stated he wasn’t sure how the fire started.
