United Way sets goal of $60,000

United Way of Appling County held a luncheon on September 19 to officially kick off this year’s fundraising campaign. The group has set a goal to raise $60,000.00 this year. Ninety-nine percent of all money collected in the county stays here to help organizations and the less fortunate in our community.

Some of the organizations supported by United Way are Concerted Services Meals on Wheels program, Christmas in Action, Candler Source, Cross Ties Youth Ministries, AMI Kids, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Cedarwood, Pineland Mental Health and many other organizations.
