Dear Editor,
Russell (Buddy) and I would like to thank the Pine Forest Garden Club for choosing our yard as ‘yard of the month’ for August.
Writer expresses appreciation
We enjoy trying to keep our yard looking nice. Our efforts to do so have never been to receive glory or praise. However, it is rewarding when we do receive compliments regarding our yard. We never dreamed that we would be chosen as a recipient of the Garden Club’s recognition. We very graciously and humbly accept this recognition.
We would not dare accept any recognition without giving our Lord and Savior honor and thanks for the daily health and strength, which He provides to us. We also realize that without the sunshine and rain, which He provides, there would be no beauty in any yard. HE is the reason that we strive to maintain an attractive yard. We desire to be good stewards of everything that He has entrusted to our care.
Thank you to the individual who recommended our yard to the garden club for consideration.
Thank you, Pine Forest club members; for all that you do to help beautify Appling County. We trust that all of your endeavors will be fruitful and greatly appreciated.
