William Jefferson “Bud” Williams
William Jefferson “Bud” Williams, 68, of Lowgap, North Carolina, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in North Carolina. Bud was born May 30, 1944 in Appling County. He was of the Baptist Faith and was the owner and operator of Carolina Communications. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Williams, a brother, J. M. Williams and half-sister, Verna Jean Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil Ann Williams; daughter, Jolie Leeann Williams, both of Lowgap, N.C.; his mother, Beatrice Dean; two sisters, Betty Jo Varnadore of Warner Robins and Elizabeth Stone of Hazlehurst; two half-sisters, Florice Luithle of Hudson, FL and Janice Torrez of North Carolina; and two half-brothers, Pete Williams of Vidalia and BoBo Williams.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12 at Zoar Baptist Church with the Revs. Virginia Herrington and J. E. Blanton officiating. Interment followed in Zoar Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Roger Branch, Ricky Branch, Jeff Williams, Davey Barlow, Terry Williams and Colby Griffin.
Music was rendered by Debbie Taylor.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
