Baxley hosting GREA Area V and VI Meeting
The Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA) will conduct its annual Area V and VI meeting in Baxley on August 23, 2012. This state sponsored event will be located at the Baxley Church of God Fellowship Hall. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the business meeting starting at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately following the business meeting.
Appling and 16 other southeast Georgia counties comprise areas V and VI. The counties include Wayne, Jenkins, Candler, Emanuel, Toombs, Glynn, Tattnall, Evans, Bulloch, Chatham, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Screven, Effingham and Bryan. GREA is “Flying Higher & Higher” with over 22,000 members statewide in all 159 counties.
The Appling County Retired Educators (ACREA) has 185 local members comprised of school system employees, either still working or retired. ACREA is honored to be hosting an event that is normally held in Savannah, Statesboro or Brunswick.
ACREA members can mail their $13.00 pre-registration check to: Elizabeth Dunn, 5686 Golden Isles West, Baxley, Georgia, 31513.
The pre-registration deadline for the Area V and VI meeting is August 1, 2012.
Registration paid at the door, on August 23, will be $15.00.
